Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 May 2026 · Effective date: 25 May 2026
ORA is for entertainment and self-reflection only. Readings are not professional advice — medical, financial, legal, or otherwise. Consult qualified professionals for important decisions.
Welcome to ORA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ORA mobile application, website at ora.cards, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
The Service is operated by ORA (ora.cards). Registered legal name and postal address are available on request from support@ora.cards.
For questions about these Terms, contact us at support@ora.cards.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ORA. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and accepts responsibility for your use, including any purchases. The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Subscriptions and in-app purchases for users under 18 must be authorized by the parent or guardian who controls the Apple ID used for billing.
3. Entertainment Purposes Only — Important Disclaimer
ORA's readings, interpretations, voice notes, and all spiritual content are provided for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only. They do not constitute, and should not be treated as, professional advice in any field, including but not limited to:
- Medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice
- Financial, investment, or business advice
- Legal advice
- Relationship counseling or marriage advice
- Career guidance
- Decisions involving children, custody, or family matters
ORA's content is generated using artificial intelligence (specifically, large language models including Claude by Anthropic). It is provided as a reflective tool, not as a means of predicting actual future events, providing certainty, or replacing qualified professional consultation.
You acknowledge that tarot, spiritual interpretations, and intuitive practices are not scientifically validated forms of prediction or guidance. Decisions about your health, finances, relationships, legal matters, and life should be made in consultation with qualified professionals.
We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from your use of the Service.
4. Your Account
4.1 Account Creation
You may use ORA as a guest with limited functionality, or create an account using email and password. When creating an account:
- You must provide accurate, current information
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must notify us immediately at support@ora.cards if you suspect unauthorized use
4.2 Guest Accounts
Guest sessions are tied to your device. Guest reading history is temporary and may be lost when you uninstall the app, switch devices, or clear app data. Creating an account preserves your readings.
4.3 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time by:
- Opening the ORA app → Profile → Delete Account, or
- Emailing support@ora.cards with your account email
Account deletion removes your personal data and reading history within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (see Privacy Policy).
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 ORA Premium
ORA offers an optional paid subscription, ORA Premium, which unlocks additional features as described in the app at the time of purchase.
5.2 Trial Period
If we offer a free trial:
- The trial begins when you initiate it through the App Store
- At the end of the trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the price displayed in the app
- You may cancel during the trial through your Apple ID subscription settings without being charged
- Cancellation must occur at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged
5.3 Billing
- All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ORA Premium
- Prices may change; we will notify you in advance, and your continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance
5.4 Refunds
All refunds are governed by Apple's policies. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, use Apple's "Report a Problem" process at reportaproblem.apple.com.
5.5 Receipt and Subscription Status
Your subscription status is managed through our payment processor (RevenueCat) and Apple. We may receive subscription event notifications from Apple to update your access in real time.
6. How ORA Works (Plain English)
So you understand what you're using:
- Voice input. You can speak your question. Your voice is transcribed to text by a speech-to-text service (Deepgram). The audio is not stored after transcription.
- AI-generated readings. Your question and the cards drawn are sent to an AI model (Claude by Anthropic) which generates an interpretation. The output is reviewed against quality guidelines.
- Human review. Some readings may be reviewed by a human reader, and you may receive a notification if there's something worth adding. This is optional and not guaranteed for every reading.
- Voice playback (Premium). Premium readings can be played as spoken audio, generated by a text-to-speech service (ElevenLabs).
- Storage. Your readings, account info, and follow-up history are stored on our servers (Supabase, in the region configured for our project — email support@ora.cards for current data residency details) so you can access them later.
For full data handling details, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to access another user's account
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service

- Use the Service to harm yourself or others
- Submit questions or content that exploits or sexualizes minors
- Bypass or attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls, or other technical restrictions
- Use the Service in a way that disrupts or harms other users' experience
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund.
8. User Content
When you submit a question or interact with the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:
- Process your input to generate readings
- Store your readings and history to provide the Service
- Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service
We do not claim ownership of your questions or readings. You retain all rights to your input.
9. Intellectual Property
The ORA app, including its design, code, illustrations, card artwork, brand name, logo, copy, and the persona of "Ana," are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Sensitive Topics — Limitations

- We are not liable for any interruption of service

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your decisions or actions taken in reliance on a reading

- Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service and delete your account.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict of law principles, except that mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply where they cannot be contractually waived.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through:
- First, by good-faith negotiation through support@ora.cards

Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service ends
- Your data will be deleted per the Privacy Policy
- Sections that by nature should survive (Sections 3, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15) will continue to apply
